Atlanta Braves Training Facility
Rawlings Baseball and The Atlanta Braves offer a few teams the opportunity to compete in an international baseball tournament each July. The games will be played at the Atlanta Braves Training facility in Florida. The North Texas Xpress represented the Southwest United States region last year. The 16U team took 5th place in the world, knocking off Puerto Rico in the finals of our division. This year we are returning as bracket winners to try and win the whole thing for the United States and in particular the North Texas area. The tournament will start on July 8, 2012.
This is the opportunity of a lifetime for youth baseball players. Some of the countries these teams will be facing are Venezuela, The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and others. It is a baseball intensive week of tournament play. The opportunity to play different countries, mingle with different cultures and forge friendships throughout the world, through baseball, doesn't come about very often and should not be missed.
